Ridgefield - Our Flagship Store
Ridgefield is where 109 Cheese began, and it remains our flagship today. We've been at 109 Danbury Road since we opened in 2009, growing from our original cheese shop into a complete cheese, charcuterie and gourmet food destination, with our full wine store right next door.
Our wine selection reflects the way we believe wine should be made and enjoyed: every bottle on our shelves must fit within an organic, biodynamic or sustainable profile, with an emphasis on thoughtful farming, smaller producers and wines made for the table. Every Saturday from 12–5, we open bottles for our weekly wine tasting — an informal tradition where you can discover something new, ask questions and taste with us.
Ridgefield is the heart of 109: a neighborhood shop built around great food, great wine, personal service and more than fifteen years of relationships with the people who walk through our doors.
Kent - Our Country Store
Kent has always had an identity all its own.
We first opened on Main Street in 2014 and moved to the Kent Barns in 2019. In 2023, we opened WKNDDRVR as a separate gallery space at the Barns, and in 2024 we brought the two together in our current home at 6 Kent Green Boulevard on Main Street.
Kent is our more casual country version of 109 — a cheese and gourmet shop where you can also grab a sandwich, build the perfect picnic, sit down for a cheese board or find something delicious to take home for dinner. WKNDDRVR shares the space, surrounding the dining room with automotive photography, art, automobilia and reminders that sometimes lunch is even better when you take the long way to get there.
It's comfortable, a little eclectic and intentionally informal. Come in from a drive, a hike or a day wandering around Kent. Stay for something to eat, pick up provisions for wherever you're headed next, or simply hang out for a while.
Same 109. Different pace.
